Baking a cake from scratch might sound intimidating, but using our readily available premix packs makes baking your cake much easier and simpler.

📝 Ingredients
- 500g of Design Baking Ingredient’s Double Chocolate/vanilla Cake Mix
- 175g Eggs
- 100g Water
- 75g Oil Note: You can make 2+ sponges of 8” baking tins.
🧑🍳 Instructions
- 
Place the 500g of Double Chocolate Cake Mix, 175g Eggs, 100g Water into a mixing bowl. 
- 
Mix with the flat beater for 1 minute on low speed, scrape down mixture, mix for 7 minutes on high speed. 
- 
Add the 75g Oil and mix further for 3 minutes on high speed. 
- 
Fill half of a standard baking tin, lined with grease proof paper. 
- 
Bake at +/- 170 degrees Celsius for +/- 50 minutes. Nuts, chocolate chips etc may be added to your preference. 
6. Cover and rest in the fridge for approximately 24 hours before decorating.
7. Prepare Your Cake Pan
Grease your pan with butter or non-stick spray and lightly dust with flour. You can also line the bottom with parchment paper.
Tip: Mix until just combined to keep the cake light and airy.
⏳ Cooling
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing or frosting.
