For about 20 cookies, you’ll need:
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk, your choice!)
- Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans for a crunchy twist)

Step 1: Mix Your Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
